SMBC Family Trips

Get your passports ready! The next SGC Family Trip will take place Feb 25 - March 1, 2026 at the gorgeous Grand Palladium Resort & Spa Family Selection in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This trip includes luxury accommodations, all-inclusive meal and childcare options, lots of sunshine, and friendships to last a lifetime. There’s no better way to build your SMBC village!

  • Retreats are kid-free and geared more towards SMBCs in the thinker, tryer or currently pregnant stage. Retreats are curated with a daily agenda including yoga, coaching, excursions and shared meals. Don't worry - there's plenty of downtime and space for relaxation too!

Family trips are designed for SMBCs and their little ones. These trips are less structured (for obvious reasons) but will provide ample opportunity for connection and bonding, while also working around your nap schedule and child's needs.

  • Retreats are intentionally small and intimate, with about 8-10 participants depending on location. Family trips are much larger. Our first trip included 15 SMBC families, and our next one is already shaping up to be even bigger.

With both travel options, you'll have opportunities to connect with other participants via Zoom calls and a What'sApp group prior to arrival, so you'll get a sense of who else will be there.

  • The cost varies depending on length and location, but all retreat packages are built with a solo mom's budget in mind. And the opportunity to connect in person with other badass SMBCs? priceless!

  • I encourage you to discuss this with your doctor and do what feels right for you. SGC been hosting trips to Mexico since 2023, so understanding the current risks of Zika and other illnesses is always an important consideration. Currently the risk level in Mexico is similar to that in my own backyard here in Austin, TX. You can learn more at CDC.gov.
