  • The Single Greatest Choice Retreats are designed for women who are considering, pursuing, or newly pregnant on the path to solo motherhood by choice. Together, we’ll explore themes like identity, uncertainty, self-trust, and preparing for motherhood in an intimate, supportive environment.

    This retreat is intentionally curated around this particular stage of the journey, so women who are already parenting may find the coaching topics less relevant to their current season of life.

  • We anticipate a small, intimate group of approximately 9 women total, including Katie as the facilitator. Final group size may vary slightly depending on room selections and accommodations.

  • Your retreat experience includes four nights accommodations, group coaching sessions, yoga, planned retreat activities, most meals, transportation from Dripping Springs to scheduled group activities, and airport shuttle service on departure day for guests with flights departing after 1:00 PM.

    Airfare, transportation to Dripping Springs on arrival day, optional spa treatments, and a small number of off-site meals are not included.

  • Yes. Plant-based, vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options can all be accommodated. If you have specific dietary needs or allergies, please let Katie know in advance so they can be communicated with the chef.

  • When in doubt, you should always consult with your doctor before participating in unfamiliar activities while pregnant. Retreat meals, gentle yoga, and planned hiking activities are intended to be pregnancy-friendly, though modifications and rest are always encouraged as needed.

    Guests should consult directly with Folklore Spa regarding the safety of specific spa treatments during pregnancy.

  • Not at all. Many women attend retreats on their own and arrive without knowing anyone else. Retreats are intentionally kept small and intimate, and connection tends to happen naturally and quickly. Whether you’re brand new to The Single Greatest Choice community or have been around for years, you are welcome here.

  • Yes. There are two shared room options designed for guests booking together: the Loft Suite with two queen beds and the Bunkhouse with two oversized full-size bunks. If you select one of these rooms and are not traveling with a friend, you will be paired with another guest staying in the room.

    Rooms are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in sharing one of the king rooms with a friend, please reach out to inquire about availability and pricing.

  • Because of the small and intimate nature of the retreat, all deposits and retreat balances are non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel, every effort will be made to fill your spot with another guest. A refund for amounts paid may be possible if the spot is successfully filled.

Travel Tips

Plan to fly into Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Austin, Texas will be in Central Daylight Time (CDT) at the time of the retreat.

Dripping Springs is located approximately 45 minutes from the Austin airport. Because guests will be arriving from various locations and at different times throughout the day, airport transportation to the retreat house on arrival day is not included, though we will make efforts to coordinate ride-shares when possible. Guests should plan to Uber or arrange transportation from the airport to Dripping Springs.

Check-in at our Airbnb begins at 5:00 PM. On arrival day, guests arriving in Dripping Springs before check-in time are invited to gather at Fairlane Cocktails + Coffee, where there will be a group pickup at 5:15 PM. If you have several hours to fill, Katie can also provide recommendations for shopping, breweries, wineries, restaurants, coffee shops, or other places to relax nearby. Additional details and timing will be communicated closer to the retreat.

Transportation to all scheduled retreat activities throughout the weekend is included.

On departure day, guests with flights departing after 1:00 PM are welcome to utilize the group airport shuttle departing from Dripping Springs after breakfast (included in your retreat package). Guests with earlier departing flights should plan to arrange their own transportation to the airport.

Most retreat expenses are included in the retreat package. Optional spa treatments, incidentals, and a small number of off-site meals are not included.

Dripping Springs is a relaxed Hill Country town with local coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, wineries, and hiking nearby. While the retreat will include planned activities and downtime, we encourage guests to embrace the slower pace of the weekend and unplug as much as possible.

Payment details

A deposit of $1,500usd is due to secure your space in the retreat. While every effort will be made to keep the website up to date, it is best to confirm room availability with Katie prior to making a deposit through the Single Greatest Choice website. If you prefer to use another payment method such as Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle, please contact Katie to make arrangements

The balance of your retreat (minus your $1500usd initial deposit) is due 60 days prior to arrival. You will receive a personalized invoice with payment options at that time. If you prefer a payment plan, please discuss this option with Katie. The total balance for all guests will be due 60 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made within 60 days or less of arrival are 100% non-refundable . All initial deposits of $1,500 are non-refundable and non-transferable.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

The acceptance of a verbal or written confirmation from KATIE BRYAN and THE SINGLE GREATEST CHOICE, LLC constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions listed herein. Participants are responsible to be adequately insured, therefore Traveler’s Insurance is strongly recommended*.

KATIE BRYAN and THE SINGLE GREATEST CHOICE, LLC assume no responsibility nor liability for any delay, loss, damage, injury or accident with regards to persons or property which may be caused by fault or negligence of any third party vendor. This includes the venue, transportation providers, and local operators participating in part for our services. KATIE BRYAN and THE SINGLE GREATEST CHOICE, LLC shall be held harmless for any expense caused by injury or accident, to any participants as well as any loss or damage of personal items while on our retreat. We reserve the right to make any changes to services and itineraries, with or without notice, which may become necessary.

KATIE BRYAN and THE SINGLE GREATEST CHOICE, LLC, its affiliates, retreat facilitators, hotels, third party vendors, and tour providers, the ownership, or staff, of course, cannot be held responsible for events that are outside of our control. There are no refunds as per our cancellation policies. We highly recommend that all of our guests secure a quality travel insurance that will cover them for ANY event which may cause for a change of travel plans, or for ANY unfortunate event including but of course not limited to:

  • Transportation delays, cancellations or changes due to strikes, labor disputes, or lockouts from airlines, boats, ferries or any type of transportation

  • Any inconvenience or complication caused by bad weather, storms, or other natural disasters

  • Government/political actions, events or situations; threats or acts of terrorism, acts of war or declared war

  • Personal health issues or personal situations in general which may affect travel plans

  • Any loss, theft or damage of personal items at any stage of your trip

  • Any accident causing injury during any stage of your trip

  • Travel restrictions or illness associated with COVID-19

We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your investment in these uncertain times. We recommend this insurance company that covers Covid-19 incidents including travel delay due to quarantine requirements, any medical aid you need due to Covid-19 and changes to flights and travel plans. For US citizens living in the US the plan we recommend is the Safe Travels Outbound option.

We are not able to refund payments or extend credits due to complications in travel, rescheduling or closings due to Covid-19. Please let us know if you have purchased this insurance.

PREGNANCY POLICY

Should you be pregnant or are trying to become pregnant before or shortly after this retreat, it is your responsibility to consult your doctor regarding risks associated with travel in general. Refunds will not be issued if travel must be canceled due to medical guidance, so please be sure to consult your doctor and purchase travel insurance to protect your investment.
